Welcome to Ballard Family Chiropractic!
We are so glad you are here!
What To Expect At Your First Visit
Your first visit at Ballard Family Chiropractic is all about gathering the right information so we can build a plan that truly matches your goals.
Before you arrive
To get the most out of Day 1:
-
Complete your new patient paperwork ahead of time, especially the goals section.
-
If you cannot finish it before your appointment, plan to arrive a little early to wrap it up.
The goals section is the most important part. It tells us where you are now and where you want to go, so we can design a care plan that is specific to you or your child, not a one‑size‑fits‑all approach.
What happens on Day 1
On your first visit, our main job is to listen and to measure.
You can expect:
-
A conversation about your history and what you or your child are currently struggling with
-
A thorough exam
-
Nervous system scans to see how the brain and body are communicating
We do not rush into big decisions on Day 1. This visit is for fact‑gathering so we truly understand how your nervous system is functioning before we recommend anything.
What happens next: Day 2
After your first visit, Dr. Abbie reviews your history, exam findings, and scans in detail. On Day 2, you come back so you can sit down together and go over:
-
What we found and what it means for your nervous system
-
A recommended care plan
-
Expectations for number of visits and timeline
-
The cost of care, so there are no surprises
Day 2 is also typically when you or your child receive the first adjustment.
For babies and kids, adjustments are very gentle and age‑appropriate. The amount of pressure used is often similar to checking a ripe tomato. Different techniques are used for different ages and bodies so their nervous system gets exactly what it needs, not a mini version of an adult adjustment.
Questions before you come in?
If any questions come up while you are filling out your forms or preparing for your visit, you are welcome to call or text the office. The goal is for you to walk into Day 1 knowing what to expect and feeling confident about the process.
